Very easy to stigmatize someone with laws that make sexting between minors into a kiddie porn felony beef that follows them their whole lives.
The registry needs to be limited to those who have committed actual offenses against other persons directly. It's become a sexual Blacklist.

I have to agree here Ernest. I never got why someone could get arrested for taking a piss on some deserted dirt road (except for the pig making the arrest) and sentenced to jail time in addition to being listed on the "sex" offender registry for life. Tell the oink oink patrol to spend their time pursuing murderers and actual rapists, not someone taking a piss on a deserted dirt road or sexting her boyfriend.
