All Sex Not Between Married People Should Be Criminalized Says AFA Host

[Ivan L Mayers, We here at TRPWL won't stand for this. We will fight for your rights]

Bryan Fischer, the public face of the certified anti-gay hate group, American Family Association, on his AFA radio program this week called for criminalizing all sex not between two straight married people. Adultery, infidelity, fornication all lead to sexually transmitted diseases, Fischer claims, and therefore are a public health hazard. Apparently, Fischer then would support government intervention making smoking illegal, as it is a “public health issue,” would support the Affordable Care Act, and would support the work of the EPA, regulating things like gas mileage and water quality, which also are public health issues.

One might assume that Bryan Fischer – by his comments about regulating public health hazards – might be a liberal!

The obvious discrepancy is that Fischer doesn’t understand the moral and emotional damage his general and frequent hate speech has on the emotional well-?being of our children. In my opinion, that is a great public health issue as well.

And for the record, I do not support adultery or infidelity. Just in case anyone tries to twist this!

Also for the record, you know who else makes all sex not between two straight married people illegal? Sharia law. Congrats, Bryan, no doubt an American Taliban Award for 2011 awaits!

Kyle Mantyla at Right Wing Watch notes, “We can now add these to the ever-?growing list of things that Fischer wants to see outlawed, including homosexuality, blasphemy and profanity,” and offers this video and transcript of Fischers’ comments, which, he writes, are directed against Ron Paul:

“Whether it is fornication or whether it is adultery, [the Apostle] Paul says there ought to be laws against those behaviors since they are so destructive to human beings. They represent a great danger to human health, adultery destroys families, it chews up children it creates poverty. Adultery does enormous social damage, it does enormous social harm. Sexual immorality, it leads to the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases, that makes it a public health issue. It leads to out-?of-?wedlock pregnancies, out-?of-?wedlock births, those children have to be born somewhere, you’ve got costs involved, you have now single moms bringing children into the world with no husband, no father around, that puts a strain on welfare budgets. That means fornication, sexual immorality, is properly a matter of public policy concern. It ought to be against the law.”

Any sex outside of a legally sanctioned marriage in Michigan is already a felony. Actually it can carry life in prison plus five years due to an insane interpretation of our criminal sexual conduct (rape) laws. In practice people just make sure the shades are drawn and that no one can see (or hear) them fornicating, there are a few cases (maybe a few hundred would be more accurate, I haven’t checked lately) prosecuted each year but I bet 200,000 people or more have extramarital sex each year anyway in Michigan and get away with it. Since the AFA is headquartered about 20 miles from my house in Michigan (and started by a former school teacher whose adopted son was in jail by the age of 18 for multiple instances of stealing including from the local public school — ironic for sure) and the laws against fornication are so draconian here their stance does not surprise me one bit. Too bad fornication is illegal here, Detroit could use the jobs porn can create and there are plenty of attractive young women that could become porn stars and provide hundreds of hours of jack-off pleasure.

I think Occupy Fornication’s first step should be to have three unmarried couples fornicate on Gov. Rick Snyder’s desk in Lansing. Maybe one of the women could even convince Rick to join in the fun (he does seem like a nice guy and is probably unaware of the fornication law)! Next, go into the Senate chamber nearby and fornicate in front of the Senators, later doing the same with the House. Then when a judge sentences all involved to life in prison have the ACLU appeal to the Supreme Court and get the fornication law declared unconstitutional once and for all.
