American band Timeflies has paid tribute to adult star Mia Khalifa, a Lebanese-American who courted controversy recently after shooting to the top of the world’s most popular porn sites PornHub.
The Timeflies number titled “Mia Khalifa,” the performer’s stage name, is a rap that praises the 21-year-old on her physical features and includes lyrics such as: “Know she got dumps like a truck … From New York to the bay/All the way to Lebanon.”
Khalifa, who was born and bred in Lebanon and later moved to Miami, Florida, rose to the No. 1 spot on the adult site PornHub in December 2014, which provoked outrage in her home country and the wider Arab region. She has also come under threats over her actions.
Khalifa, a Christian, made reference to the tribute in response to one angered Twitter user who asked: “How does it feel to be the most hated Arab at the moment?”
“Pretty good since @Timeflies wrote a song about me,” she replied.
