“Tangerine” is a buddy comedy about transgender prostitutes in Los Angeles. It is director-writer Sean Baker’s follow up to his popular Netflix hit, ‘The Starlet.’ The movie premiered January at this year’s Sundance film festival, the leading showcase for new films.
“It was lovely and a blast working with Sean and I’ll do it again,” said Foxxx. “The movie captures the spirit of L.A. and portrays it authentically. My role was very fun, and the film is compelling and intense.”
Foxxx began her career as a runway model before crossing over to adult acting in 2011. Since her career began, she’s been filmed in over 150 scenes and has been featured in top productions for Hustler, Penthouse, New Sensations, Diabolic, Hard X, Kink and Girlfriends Films. She finished wrapping up mainstream projects including indie films “All-American Bikini Car Wash” directed by Nimrod Zalmanowitz and “Toy” directed by Patrick Chapman. In “Tangerine”, Foxxx plays a call girl that doesn’t give a taxi driver exactly what he’s looking for.
Baker, the director, said, “Ana is a natural. She took a minor character in “Tangerine” and transformed it in to one of the most memorable characters of the film. Her comic timing, subtlety and ability to bring depth to a character is on par with seasoned professionals who have worked decades in the business. She is one of the stand-outs of Tangerine and I know she has a bright future in acting.”
