The Brooklyn Public Library has installed a web filter to block pervy patrons from surfing porn.

“People would sit there and watch really inappropriate videos in front of children and librarians,” said City Councilman David Greenfield (D-Flatbush). “We got a lot of complaints.”

Until now, smut surfers only needed to click through a warning to easily view XXX-rated content.

The new Websense filter will block all sleazy searches and cost the cash-strapped system between $25,000 and $30,000 annually, library officials said.

The filter enables the library system to filter “graphic content without blocking access to other adult material,” said spokeswoman Emma Woods.

Libraries have long struggled to protect book lovers from randy regulars.

To dissuade anyone who’s tempted to sneak a peak, many branches have moved their computers to large open spaces. But that hasn’t stopped all the carnal crazies.

“There’s a man here looking at porn every day,” said Trinna Spottswood, 50, outside the Brooklyn Heights branch. “They can do it home but shouldn’t be allowed to here.”

But an officer inside the downtown Brooklyn branch said there’s little he could do.

“It’s his First Amendment right,” he said.
