Charlie Sheen has taken legal action against a strip club who named a VIP room in his honour saying it could damage his reputation.
The former Two and Half Men star demanded Cheetah’s strip club in New York stop using his name to attract guests.
The club launched the Charlie Sheen Room where visitors could eat sushi from the bodies of scantily clad dancers.
Guests were charged $250 to dine in the room which is covered with photos of the actor from his time of the comedy show and Hollywood films.
The club opened the room after Sheen’s now infamous drug fuelled meltdown last year that saw him sacked from his role on Two and Half Men.
Sheen, 45, claimed he drank Tiger’s blood, called himself a warlock and set up home with two women, one of them a porn star.
Club bosses were hit with a ‘cease and desist letter’ telling them to take down Sheen’s name after he found out about the VIP room.
Club chief Sam Zherka said he is stunned that Sheen thinks his reputation can be damaged.
He said the actor threatened to sue for millions unless his name was removed.
‘How could sushi damage Charlie Sheen’s reputation.
‘We thought dedicating a room to dine in his honour would help repair and elevate his image. He should have called us up and thanked us.’
Zherka, president of the parent company of Cheetahs, said they had complied with the legal letter.
‘We have now removed his name, he wasn’t doing big business anyway. We had a little ritual and threw his image in the garbage – a celebration of Charlie Sheen being dumped.’
Sheen’s layers Marty Singer told the New York Post:’This matter has nothing to do with Sheen’s reputation. You can’t use any celebrity name to promote business without permission. They had no right to use his name.’
