What Is Your City Masturbating To?

The Pornhub Insights blog is responsible for post after post of awesome porn data. So when we decided we wanted to know what people were getting off to in cities like Anchorage, Honolulu and Detroit, we knew exactly who to ask.

Pornhub statisticians satisfied our curiosity by sending us a list of top five search terms on Pornhub.com for cities across the U.S. plus each city’s most searched-for porn stars. Their findings were based on search data from 2014.

We were definitely surprised to find that “massage” is the most popular search term, landing in the top five in 22 of the 24 cities we looked at. Moreover, it took the top spot in 11 cities. We were expecting something more… graphic.

As for the most popular porn star? Eighteen cities bestowed that honor upon “MILF” Lisa Ann. She must be a proud mom!

What is YOUR city masturbating to?

“Smoking” tops the list in Anchorage. We assume they mean cigarettes and not “smoking hot” because who actually says that? Our best guess is that since it’s so cold up there, Alaskans literally fetishize heat.

For a city whose motto is “Keep Austin Weird,” their top searches are pretty vanilla.

Between “cartoon” and “college,” it appears that Baltimore likes them young. But educated, so you know, all good.

Memphis loves their cartoons, too. Who knew we had so much in common with this city?

Detroit’s love for squirting and Belle Knox make it the most unique city on this list. Knox, of course, is the Duke University student who’s been in the headlines lately after a classmate outed her as a porn actress.
