Holofilm Productions and Red Light Center founder Brian Shuster was featured on ‘The Daily Show with Trevor Noah’ this week, discussing the future of Virtual Reality (VR) in adult entertainment.
During the segment, Virtual Reality: Today’s Future Now, ‘Daily Show’ correspondent Ronny Chieng takes a humorous look at the advances in VR entertainment and ran a ‘Nightline’ news clip of Shuster discussing Holographic Avatar technology in a virtual community.
During the clip, which shows a female avatar giving a lap dance to a male avatar inside Red Light Center’s virtual gentlemen’s club, Shuster explained, “If you give a lap dance, the girl is right on your lap and she’s moving and gyrating; the experience is remarkably real.”
“The ‘Daily Show’ segment was funny and the technology was discussed in a light-hearted way, but Virtual Reality entertainment – porn in particular – truly is the future, particularly as a revenue stream for performers hit hard by piracy and tube sites, ” said Shuster.
Shuster’s Holofilm Productions is developing “three kinds of virtual reality sex that are going to blow fans away”: Hologram porn, Synthologram™ porn and Interactive Holograph Sex – on-demand sex with virtual porn stars – “a new technology that’s going to change absolutely everything.” His IndieGOGO campaign is hoping to raise $250,000 in order to create high quality adult VR content.
“In the future, Virtual Reality will be bigger than the Internet ever was,” says Shuster, who was honored with XBIZ’s Industry Pioneer Award this year. “Consumers will embrace the technology once they realize how stimulating this one-of-a-kind experience is.”
