Octomom pleads no contest to welfare fraud after repaying $26G to government

Octomom admits she should have weaned herself off public assistance.

The prolific procreator, whose real name is Nadya Suleman, pleaded no contest Monday to one misdemeanor count of welfare fraud after proving to a judge she repaid more than $26,000 to the state and Los Angeles County, prosecutors said.

Suleman, 39, was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to perform 200 hours of community service.

Prosecutors said Suleman failed to report around $30,000 in earnings from personal appearances, residuals and adult videos while applying for ongoing public assistance last year.

The felony complaint claimed Suleman, who gave birth to octuplets in 2009, fraudulently obtained $16,481 in aid between January and June of 2013.
