Mike Dozer, a controversial 33-year old gay porn model who made headlines for opposing condom use and appearing in “socially irresponsible (NSFW)” porn, was arrested in December on charges of statutory rape, involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, and aggravated indecent assault. Prosecutors allege Dozer had sex with a 14-year-old boy he met on the gay social network Jack’D.

He pursued me

Defense attorney Kevin Mark Wray said Dozer was using the app last spring to meet men, and maintained his client attempted to end relations with the teen when he realized he was underage.

“At some point, he came to the realization that this person wasn’t 18 and took off,” Wray told the Philadelphia Gay News. “This kid kept pursuing him and apparently had done so with others.”

Wray said Jack’D requires users to verify that they are over age 18.

This week, the charges against Dozer were enhanced to include reckless endangerment, because Dozer allegedly may not have disclosed his HIV+ status before giving the boy poppers (NSFW) and having sex with him.

According to the report in the Philadelphia Gay News, Dozer has been HIV-positive for six years. Wray said he believes his client’s status was disclosed during intake after his arrest.

Dozer is scheduled to appear in court again on February 27.
