Kink University to Host ’50 Skills’ Symposium in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO — Hoping to better educate the kink-curious about BDSM practiced in the 50 Shades of Grey books and movie, San Francisco’s Kink University is launching a four-day symposium, ’50 Skills of Grey,’ next week, following the movie’s release. The live classes, available as a package or individually, will teach a diverse list of skills, from basic bondage to designing one’s own “red room of pain.”

“For all Fifty Shades of Grey lacks in BDSM authenticity and consent, it makes up for in its numerous ‘teachable moments’ that will let sex educators help kink-curious people, with workshops like the 50SkillsofGrey.com symposium,” says Danarama, head of Kink University.

The hands-on symposium begins with an evening class on Thursday, February 19th, a one-hour Introduction to BDSM and concludes on Sunday February 22nd, with a workshop in Adventure Scenes and Abduction Play. Other workshop cover elevator sex, contracts, dirty talk and coming out kinky on dates.

For a full class schedule and video tutorials from previous Kink University classes, visit 50SkillsofGrey.com.

Interviews, passes and other information on the symposium are available.
