• I know the industry is in the shitter, and that there is no honor among whores, but if this happened in the real world, I'd imagine the talent would black ball the director, and he'd be busted down to mopping out jack off booths.

    A MAJOR PORN STAR would have problems blackballing a NAME 'Director'; a minor PornStar would have NO Ability to blackball ANYONE!!! Most 'Porn Directors' are small time operators who distribute porn through irregular channels. Most Porn these days are 'consumed' in 5 minute J.O. clips and with tens of thousands of such clips floating around, it would be impossible to even identify the clip said PornStar were in!!!

    Remember when Musicans made their money selling LPs and their concerts were loss leaders? Now it is the other way around---Madonna makes millions off her concerts but peanuts on her new CDs.

    Its the same with PornStars. Once upon a time it was Hookers who made their fame & fortune off Porn; today Porn 'Stars' use their videos to desplay their wares to advertise HOOKING!!!

    I, for one am glad the Porn Industry is dying. There is way too much content out there and the 'industry' chews up its content providers (talent) and spits them out on the dirty boulevard for us 'tax payers' to pick up the pieces!!!

    Porn is not a self-sustaining industry like forestry or ranching. It is predicated upon the exploitation of its workforce because there is always desperate people willing to do sex scenes for money---Octomom, anyone?!!!

• Might be a workers compensation claim. Could be a lawsuit depending on who is responsible.-even if producer not responsible, they might have medpay which covers regardless of fault Talent could also claim against her own health insurance.

• The T-R-U-E ANSWER is NO COMPENSATION!!! What is this? Business 101?!! The Business Model defines the Industry, not the other way around!!! Porn production is basically a hotel room for a set, ambiant lighting and a Sony HiDef Digi-cam. THAT'S IT!!!

  The 'Talent' is basically an independant contractor doing per scene work. That's it. Since many PornStars do 2-6 scenes per week, it would be hard, if not impossible to file an OSHA complaint, Lawsuit or Workers Compensation claim alleging injury.

  Let's do a theoretical. Ms. Suzie SUXXS-IT is handed an envelope of $3,000.00 to do an Anal Gangbang. During the tweleth scene with the tweleth 'Actor', her colon is perferated but she is so high on drugs that she doesn't notice anything until two shoots later (no anal). Who does she sue? The actor who caused the damage? The Studio who hired her as an independant contractor? Or the last two production companies?

  Who is going to pay for her surgery, her post-op colostomy bag/rehab and 4-6 months off from shooting? Worker's Comp? At best, that would be $560 a week, no medical. The TRUE ANSWER is The CALIFORNIA TAX Payers!!!

  I dont pass judgement on people's lives or how they make their money---I DO PASS JUDGEMENT ON BUSINESS' BUSINESS MODELS. I W-I-L-L not tolerate an industry that harms its employees and then dumps them on the curb for the TAX PAYERS to take care of.

  I look at PornStars like Professional Boxers---their body IS their enterprise. The Boxing Commission should pay for a Club Fighter whose brains become scrambled when he fights 'out of his class'. It should be the same with PornStars.

  I am going to say something that will get alot of people upset. I think every PORNSTAR should O-W-N her image and get a royality cheque on each time her image is broadcast. Annie Sprinkles should have the RIAA bill every web site that broadcasts her image for her royality cheque, a portion of which should go to Porn Industry health insurance, retirement and transition out, thereof. Do you realize the biggest players in American Porn are AT&T and General Motors?!!! If sufficient injured Porn Stars sued AT&T & GM for damages---the entire business model would change and your question would be answered!!!

    I would like to see California pass a law where the the use of INDEPENDANT CONTRACTORS in Porn is outlawed. Instead, every film clip should be owned by the talent but leased out to the Content Provider. Cable providers, such as AT&T and GM, a US Government run Organization, should be assessed a fee which will pay for the health insurance of all indegent 'Adult Entertainers'!!!

    Each scene would be digitally marked so that if it is shown on ANY Cable network or web provider and/or is reproduced for DVD, a royality cheque and/or deductables could be taken out.

    Any Scene shot in California would need to have OSHA certification ELSE a special fee assessed. All California Porn Scenes must have condoms used (they'll be edited out in the post production).

    As a business Model, Porn is simply unsustainable. Too much content already exists and there is so many free porn sites out there that there is no incentive for Free loaders like me to BUY IT (digitally or on DVD). For Porn, as an industry, to be viable, its content has to be worth something---and the only way you are going to do that is to REDUCE SUPPLY, INCREASE DEMAND and EXPAND MARKETS!!! How do you do that? Limit how many Porn Sites an Internet search can 'hit' by legistlation, and limit how many porn clips/porn channels a cable provider/hotel can provide for guest services!!!
