This came across my Google Alerts today…

On Nov 17, ex-adult performer turned talent agent Shy Love (aka Sheelagh P Albino Blumberg) filed suit against agency owner Mark Schechter and director Barrett Blade, claiming in part that they had disparaged her financial status in statements made to various members of the adult business community since January 2013.

The statements included remarks to the effect that “Plaintiff [Love] was bankrupt, that she had been unlawfully altering the business’s accounting books, and that Plaintiff owned [sic] numerous of her employees and independent contractors large sums of money.” Love also claims that the defendants have stated that, when she ran adult talent agency ATMLA, she was “stealing money” from her then-clients.

“Plaintiff came to learn that BARRETT was making the above referenced statements to numerous individuals in the adult entertainment industry with whom Plaintiff associates, at the direction of, and based on false information provided to him by SCHECHTER.”

These assertions raise the question of what Love/Blumberg’s financial picture was really like: were these statements, if made, actually false?

To shed light on this question, we present the following information. Whether or not it might work in favor of Schechter and Blade’s defense, or provide evidence of Love’s motive, is, of course, for the court to decide.

Government records show over $155,000 in federal and state tax liens levied against Love/Blumberg between 2008 and the present:
