MMA fighter War Machine is wanted by Las Vegas police in regards to a severe beating that may have landed his porn star girlfriend Christy Mack in the hospital.
According to police, War Machine was involved in a 3-person altercation early Friday morning at their home in Vegas. Two of the combatants sustained severe, but non life-threatening injuries … and were taken to a hospital. One of the victims is described as the fighter’s “significant other.”
It’s well known that War Machine has been dating porn star Christy Mack since last year — however police have not yet released the names of the victims.
Mack has performed in more than 100 adult movies since 2012, winning the Best New Starlet honor at the 2014 XBIZ Awards.
When Las Vegas Metro officers arrived on the scene, reportedly they determined that War Machine was the “primary suspect” — but they have not been able to find him all day.
Born Jonathan Koppenhaver, War Machine competed in the UFC in 2007. He legally changed his name to “War Machine” in 2008, according to fighting website Cage Today.
He signed with Bellator in 2013 and went 1-2 in three fights last year. The troubled fighter has not fought professionally since he suffered a first-round submission loss to Ron Keslar at a Bellator event in October.
War Machine fights for MMA company Bellator. He was arrested for assault during a San Diego bar fight back in 2010, and ended up receiving a one-year jail sentence for that case.
The President of Bellator, Scott Coker, stated that War Machine is being released from his contract, as they have a zero tolerance policy for domestic violence.
