XBIZ: 4th Porn Star Tests HIV-Positive

LOS ANGELES — Another adult entertainment film star has revealed he has tested positive for HIV, XBIZ has confirmed.

It is the fourth such case reported in less than three weeks.

The male actor confirmed his diagnosis to the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, which for years has fought for a condom regulations in California.

“I can confirm,” the organization’s president Michael Weinstein told RadarOnline, which first reported the story. “However, he has asked that all other information be kept strictly confidential at this time. I have nothing else to say about the performer.”

The AHF, which later disclosed to XBIZ the news, would not release details on the porn performer, including any adult film company that employed him.

On Aug. 22, porn actress Cameron Bay announced via the FSC that she had been infected with HIV. After Bay tested positive, production was shut down for about a week through a FSC moratorium.

Later, Rod Daily announced via social media that he has contracted HIV, making him the second adult film actor to announce a diagnosis with the disease in recent weeks.

And on Friday, another actor — the third in two weeks — tested positive, according to AHF/PASS, which immediately imposed a voluntary moratorium for adult film shoots.

Today’s revelation makes it the fourth such case in three weeks.

  • It should be noted that there is NO confirmation from FSC-PASS or anyone else of the AHF/Radar Online story, and that everything has been based on Weinstein's assertion and the testimony of the "performer"(also filtered by Weinstein's assertions).

As it stands, there is no evidence as of yet to show that this new "performer" was infected on set during a shoot, or that he has even been tested using the PASS protocols. For all we know, he could have been an isolated case of an HIV+ person taking his first test prior to shooting.

However, the usual suspects are already on the scene railing and wailing for instant imposition of the condom mandate, and morale in the porn diaspora is now approaching rock bottom...so I guess this propaganda coup by AHF is taking its toll.

  • And here I thought the polesmoker just slipped up in that statement the other day.

So for those keeping track at home, we have:

1 whore and 1 mope confirmed and named

1 mope confirmed and not named

1 mope neither confirmed nor named

    Correct?

  • Who knows. This should become the new genre. Get used to it. Nothing wrong being a Pozzie. Just manage ur health and b safe. Who knows. Porn could be leading the fight against HIV and AIDS by being open to the World. What u gonna loose?

  • it would be nice if we had the choice. IT SHOULD BE THIS WAY. i have only done a couple of condom scenes. here i am putting my body on the line making money for other people who don't even provide me health insurance while i am working hard, full time hours! lets face it -- porn "stars" are grossly underpaid for the risks we take daily, we don't get insurance, agents act more like pimps, we sign away most our rights on those 2257s, can we at least choose to protect ourselves at work??????????

im taking a break until they figure this shit out.

who agrees? yes i do agree with freedom of speech if you don't want to wear one don't but we should have the choice and honestly weekly testing should be required!

these are peoples lives and i know most of you don't care but what if you were positive?

you sure as hell would then!

    have a lovely day!

best of luck to those who tested positive. stay strong.

  • Random Performer, you are an independent contractor, no one should be paying your health insurance but you. If you are hard up for a doctor and need a prescription, I prescribe Midol and Chocloate.

      • Sweetie, in the WWE, where they restrict you from working for other companies, it is a loophole. In porn, where you work for a number of different companies in a month, much less over the course of a year, it isn't a loop hole.

The darkest chocolate helps the most, huh?

  • To Random performer,

"Freedom of Speech", as protected by the Bill of Rights, PRIMARILY protects you from the GOVERNMENT keeping you from speaking out against THE GOVERNMENT.

It has nothing to do with having the "freedom" to have sex for money without adhering to workplace safety standards.

I wish porn performers would read a book as much as they toke weed.

    • Yep, LA porn should use condoms, dental dams and rubber gloves. Such practices would solve the pirating issue too, because no one would watch the crap. They would all turn their attention to Prauge and the Ukraine.

    • Ahhh, D??

There is this thing called "content based" regulation of speech and expression that IS covered by the First Amendment.....and last time I checked, regulating sexual speech by arbitrarily demanding performers wear condoms against their will is still a violation of the First Amendment.

And while no one is questioning the right of the government to impose safety standards, it is more than right that those standards be held accountable for their effectiveness and their constituionality. Measure B and the former SB's 332 and 640 fail on their own individual demerits, not just because they consist of government regulation per se.

    • what's your point exactly d toluca lake? i don't smoke weed by the way and i do read and am published as well. i am not sure why you reverted to a personal attack so quickly. i was just simply stating some of my opinions.
