A 21-year-old webcam model in China was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 100,000 Yuan ($14,500.00 USD) for appearing in videos that have been defined as ‘obscene’.
According to Shanghaiist, authorities began tracking the activities of the woman after the one of her videos, ‘Foursome in Chengdu’, went viral online.
She was quickly identified as a webcam host who goes by the monikers ‘Sydney Gun’ or ‘Xue Liqiang’.
Prior to her arrest, Sydney Gun had 40,000 followers across several live-streaming platforms.
The sexy stream featured Sydney Gun (aka Sherry Gun), another woman and two men. The People’s Daily wrote she wanted to be famous and attract more people to her online streaming business.
According to the Daily Mail, the two-minute(!) video was shot last March and became a hit.
China’s Mianzhu Public Security Bureau did not approve.

Sydney Gun, who is from Deyang city, but lives in Chengdu, was arrested upon her return from a holiday in Dubai.
