An alleged scammer who posed as a talent recruiter for one of the biggest porn companies in the world and tricked adult industry hopefuls into sex was slapped with an assault charge after the company he was pretending to represent took matters into their own hands.
Evil Angel, a well-known company in the adult industry, became aware of a man, named Francisco Reveriano, who was misrepresenting himself as a company scout by using a fake name and contacting women in the Texas area who were looking to break into the porn industry. When one victim fell prey to his scam, she reached out to a contact who then put her in touch with Evil Angel’s CFO, Adam Grayson. In less than 48 hours the two managed to track down and apprehend the scammer à la “To Catch a Predator.”
Grayson tells The Blast he became aware over the summer that a person was using a fake Evil Angel email account, along with doctored contracts, to contact women on Facebook and “audition” for a gig with the porn company. “I sent them an email threatening legal repercussions and was surprised when he emailed me back apologizing and saying he won’t do it again,” Grayson explains, adding that he hoped the exchange would put an end to the scam.
