NWA Branded Outlaw stars make debut at ROH event in San Antonio

It may not have been a WrestleMania size crowd, but fans were definitely loud all night as Ring of Honor stormed into San Antonio for a live event. Several well-known wrestlers to the Houston and San Antonio area made their debut on what was a stacked card from top to bottom.

They would open up the night, as Rudy Russo and AJ Summers faced off against Carson and Ricky Starks in tag team action. These four are very familiar with each other, as Carson and Russo have faced off in recent matches. Russo and Summers would pick up the win to kick off a wild night.

Kyle O'Reiley defeated Matt Sydal via submission in a very solid match. The fans were loud all night, as they voiced their appreciation for some great in-ring action.

Mark Briscoe and Steve Corino faced off in a singles match. All was going well until Jimmy Jacobs decided to get involved. Briscoe would go on to pick up the win via disqualification on Jacobs' interference

The ladies got their chance to shine, as Athena and Barbi Hayden put their skills on display. Both are very familiar to San Antonio, and the fans were thrilled to see them get their chance to show off. But Athena would be the one to emerge victorious on this night.

In a non-title Proving Ground match, Eddie Edwards defeated ROH Television Champion Matt Taven. This was a fantastic fast-paced match that really set the bar for the rest of night.

The definition of fast-paced was redefined on Saturday, as Jay Lethal faced off against the debuting ACH. These two tore the house down as ACH gave Lethal everything he could handle and then some. Lethal earned the win, but not without letting the San Antonio crowd know what ACH had just put him through and saying that this was one of the toughest matches he's ever had.

Team Rowe was in the building, as Ray Rowe made his debut against Bobby Fish. Rowe put up a hard-hitting valiant effort, but couldn't overcome the challenge of Fish.

Roderick Strong put on a fantastic showing on Saturday night, as faced off against Adam Cole. It would prove to be a long night for Cole, as Strong picked up the win.

BJ Whitmer and Michael Elgin went into their tag team match not knowing who their opponents would be. The only thing they knew is that it would be two members of S.C.U.M. Those two turned out to be Rhett Titus and Jimmy Rave, who would go on to be victorious after an entertaining match.

The ROH World Heavyweight Championship was on the line in the main event, as Jay Briscoe defended against Davey Richards. After an explosive and solid outing by both men, Briscoe would successfully defend the gold and walk away with the win.

All in all, it was a great night for wrestling fans. They got to see exciting Ring of Honor matches, and local fans got to see some of their NWA Branded Outlaw stars make their debut for a great company.
