JOANNA ANGEL’S MAINSTREAM FILM ‘SCRAPPER’ TO PREMIERE AT SEATTLE FILM FESTIVAL
LOS ANGELES, Calif., May 14, 2013 – Actress Joanna Angel will debut her upcoming mainstream film Scrapper at the Seattle International Film Festival Tuesday, May 21st and Wednesday, May 22nd. Angel, her co-stars and film’s director Brady Hall will be on hand for a Q&A session for the film.

The mesmerizing drama stars Michael Beach (Sons of Anarchy) as Hollis Wallace, the titular ‘scrapper’ who supports himself and his ailing mother by scavenging and selling cast-off copper, aluminum and other valuable metals; his unremarkable life is suddenly jolted by a remarkable chain of events that dramatically shakes him wide-awake and changes his life forever.

"Being in this movie was truly an honor,” says Angel. “I loved working alongside Michael Beach who taught me so much. I can't wait to see the film! A lot of love, passion and hard work went into the film by everyone in the cast!"

Angel plays Naomi, a struggling single mom and caretaker to Wallace’s ailing mother. "We wanted the role of Naomi to be something other than the cliché that you see in almost every movie and TV show,” says Scrapper director Brady Hall. Hall adds that Angel settled into her character with surprising ease: “She perfectly captured the attitude of Naomi; a single mother constantly frustrated by Hollis' inability to get home on time, and brought a lot of fun to the set. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets more offers to work with all her clothes on!"

The Festival screenings for Scrapper begin Tuesday, May 21st at SIFF Uptown Theater @ 6:00pm and continue Wednesday, May 22nd. Tickets are now available to buy for the Scrapper premiere on the 21st and the 22nd. Go to http://www.siff.net/festival-2013/scrapper. Go for it. Tell your friends.
