Google has taken down a link to a Telegraph article detailing the 2003 legal case of former porn star Tim Blackstone
A link to a Telegraph story covering the 2003 legal case of Baroness Blackstone’s brother, in which he was found guilty of two counts of insider trading, has been removed by Google as part of the ‘right to be forgotten‘ directive.
The link has been taken down as part of a European Court of Justice ruling which forces the search engine to take down links to “inadequate, irrelevant or no longer relevant” information. Read the full list of affected stories here.
Tim Blackstone, aged 56 at the time, was ordered to pay a fine of £1,000 plus legal costs of £16,000 after being found guilty of two counts of insider trading.
Philip Katz, prosecuting, accused the brother of arts minister at the time Baroness Blackstone of being “both a liar and stupid” during the trial at Blackfriars Crown Court.
