Motley Models gave us a statement about the Alaina Dawson check forging incident.
Motley Models is deeply disappointed by the recent behavior of our talent Alaina Dawson. We have represented her since September 2015 and up until last week, haven’t had any issues.
On June 28th we learned she had stolen some minor items from a client’s set. On June 29th, after making our client whole, we suspended her for 60 days to give us time to evaluate whether she should be dropped from the agency all together.
On the morning of July 5th, we were provided with information that Miss Dawson had altered a check from a shoot on 6/28 written by Jay Rock Productions to read $1,700 instead of the intended amount of $700. While we haven’t been able to reach Miss Dawson about this, Motley Models has a zero tolerance policy with check fraud. Miss Dawson has been dropped from the agency and all of her future bookings have been canceled. Motley Models will make sure Jay Rock Productions is made whole and will assist authorities anyway we can to make sure a precedent is set that this type of behavior is unacceptable. We would encourage all other agencies and production companies to take these issues into serious consideration before signing or booking her for future work.”
