Not quite for teeth and not really for cleaning, a recently-debuted personal paste is bringing a whole new meaning to freshening up on the job.
Blowpaste, a minty-flavored oral sex lubricant, is the brainchild of Chicago couple Jasmine Ejan and Steven Guistolise who recently launched an Indiegogo campaign to get their mouth-freshening product into a wider market.
“My goal is to be national, and global,” Ejan told RedEye Chicago. “It’s a slow but fruitful journey. Our mission is to ignite passion and spread love.”
Ejan, a musical theater performer with an inclination for entrepreneurship, told RedEye Blowpaste was simply a solution to a practical problem.
“Basically, you brush your teeth, then you’re about to do the deed, and most lubes have a aspartame or candy like substances in them. And then you have to brush your teeth again,” Ejan said, explaining that with Blowpaste, generous lovers can skip the post-blowjob brush.
The lube is the flagship product of Ejan and Guistolise’s burgeoning company, CheekyChaCha, and is made in the couple’s North Side “luberatory.” On July 19, the couple launched their crowd-funding project in hopes of hitting a $5,000 goal that will help them attend adult industry events like Exxotica, AVN and AdultCon.
Fans who support the campaign are eligible for goodies like sample sizes of Blowpaste and a “naked personal thank-you” (which was revealed to be a video of the couple naked but not completely exposed expressing their thanks to supporters).
Branding it “the revolutionary oral sex lube that is good for your teeth,” the creators also prominently note the product is vegan, gluten-free and American-made. The all-natural ingredients like Wintergreen Oil (and “love”) promise a tingly sensation for both partners and as their fundraising site reminds potential supporters, Blowpaste is not tested on animals — “only human beings.”
As the fundraiser rolls on for the next three weeks, the couple is also planning to raise money for other organizations in need through a celebrity “hugging booth” at Chicago’s Northalsted Market Days, August 10-11. The star has yet to be confirmed, but the couple has reached out to former daytime TV host Jerry Springer.
Blowpaste already has one retail outlet at Chicago’s Early To Bed shop — which notes “it turns out our testers really liked it” — but has been available on Amazon or directly from CheekyChaCha for months.
