Adult industry powerhouse Wicked Pictures is pleased to announce it won nine awards Sunday night, October 11th at the 23rd Annual NightMoves Awards in South Florida.
The winners were revealed during a festive ceremony at the Tampa Gold Club hosted by Ron Jeremy and Julia Ann. The star-studded gala saw Wicked’s visionary directors and big-budget productions receiving some of the evening’s top honors, including two NightMoves First Choice Awards. Recognizing the excellence of films released after the voting deadline, First Choice Awards went to Stormy Daniels’ epic Wicked / Adam & Eve co-production ‘Wanted’ and the Wicked Fairy Tales release ‘Peter Pan XXX: An Axel Braun Parody.’
Parody-specialist Braun received additional fan-voted accolades, including Best Director – Parody (Fan Choice). The Best Parody (Fan Choice) award went to his colorful Wicked Comix hit ‘Barbarella XXX: An Axel Braun Parody,’ while the film’s titular star, Axel Braun Productions contract girl Riley Steele, was honored with a Best Body (Fan Choice) trophy.
The continuing high quality of blockbuster creator Brad Armstrong’s work was championed with an overall award for Best Director – Feature (Editor’s Choice), while his AVN & XBIZ Editor’s Choice ‘Holly…Would’ earned Best Feature Production (Editor’s Choice). The charismatic star of many Armstrong releases, contract actress and sexual wellness filmmaker jessica drake, earned the Best BBW Release – (Editor’s Choice) trophy for ‘jessica drake’s Guide to Wicked Sex: Plus Size,’ which she co-directed with Kelly Shibari.
As one might expect from a studio celebrated for its commitment to excellence in adult filmmaking, the conclusion of the evening saw Wicked Pictures receiving Best Production Company (Editor’s Choice) honors. “We would like to thank NightMoves for continuing to include a fan component in their awards,” commented Wicked publicist Daniel Metcalf. “All of our directors are doing career-defining work. Having the fans and editors acknowledge this tells us we are continuing to deliver what people want to see and we appreciate their support.”
In a prepared statement, the show’s organizers stated that “the NightMoves Awards began humbly as a small local Florida award show called the Central Florida Adult Entertainment Awards Show, put on by NightMoves Magazine. Since then it has expanded dramatically and now presents local and national adult awards in a large club atmosphere in Tampa, which includes sexy entertainment by some of the presenters. NightMoves has done an incredible job putting this together every year, and should be commended for this excellent event. The hardworking staff – including Paul Allen, Art Koch, Tracy Allen and the rest – make this a very memorable event every year.”
Wicked thanks its loyal fans for their support and proudly congratulates its 23rd Annual NightMoves winners. For more, please visit www.wicked.com.
