Pasadena City College’s “porn professor,” who gained notoriety this year for teaching a controversial classon pornography, says he had sex with several students.

In a blog post dated Sept. 5, Hugo Schwyzer acknowledges allegations made by a woman under the pseudonym “Meagan,” who claims to have had sex with the professor numerous times over an extended period in 2011.

The former student alleges they had sex after she invited Schwyzer to meet for coffee in May 2011 when she was 20. Afterward, she writes, “we continued to meet for sex, sometimes in his office with the door locked, for the next seven months until I graduated PCC in December 2011.”

Schwyzer’s response begins with a succinct admission: “This is true.” Schwyzer continues, “I have no intention of naming names or of discussing numbers, save to say that the allegations ‘Meagan’ makes are true and that I did indeed have sex with more than one adult student. There is no excuse for this behavior, and I do not expect anyone to defend it.”

Administrators at PCC released a statement Thursday condemning Schwyzer’s behavior, and warning that it may be grounds for firing him as a “grave violation of college policy.” “The college does not in any way condone or tolerate such conduct by any faculty member,” said Gail Cooper, PCC general counsel. “All of us in the college are outraged by Mr. Schwyzer’s statements about his conduct. The college is acting swiftly to conduct an investigation and to hold Mr. Schwyzer accountable for his actions while an employee.”

Schwyzer is currently on leave but said he expects this revelation will be a “factor in discussions” about his future at the college. This latest admission follows a public meltdown on Twitter, in which Schwyzer said he struggled with various addictions. Schwyzer had gained a following online as a self-described “male feminist.“ In an interview last week with the Pasadena Star-News, after Schwyzer admitted himself to a psychiatric ward, he told the paper he felt he’d “damaged the brand of male feminism,” adding, “No one can hate me more than I hate myself right now.”
