An Open Letter to Veterans:
Dear Members of the Armed Services of the United States of America,
First of all, thank you for your service. It is with great honor and respect that I acknowledge the sacrifices made and challenges endured as you serve and have served our country.
As the child of a vet of a foreign war, the issues of veterans I hold near to my heart. It pains me to know the various issues our service people face, both while in active duty and when honorably discharged. Oftentimes I wonder how I may serve you.
The adult industry honors performers once a year with an awards ceremony and event called the AVN Awards™. As an adult film actress, this is the most important and significant event of the year. This year, in honor and consideration to service people everywhere, I have decided to bring a veteran of the armed services as my date. It is my way of sharing the most important day of my career with all of you.
I wish I could bring you all with me, and thank each of you personally for your service. As I cannot, every single veteran who enters a submission will receive a thank you letter from me as a token of appreciation.
