TIBURON, CALIF. — The daughter of a slain California porn mogul is in federal custody for allegedly running a large-scale identity-theft spree.
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office says detectives arrested Jasmine Mitchell after a brief struggle outside a hotel in Tiburon Thursday evening. Detectives found counterfeit credit cards, cash, methamphetamine and papers in Mitchell’s purse suggesting that she was preparing to flee the country.
Secret Service agents later took Mitchell into custody.
The 33-year-old Mitchell also faces possible charges of ramming her Mercedes into an unmarked sheriff’s patrol car when investigators tried to arrest her outside a San Pablo apartment complex on April 29.
Mitchell’s father is Artie Mitchell, who was fatally shot by his brother Jim Mitchell in 1991.
The brothers produced one of the first feature-length porn films and co-owned a still popular San Francisco strip club.

I’ve been following the saga of the Mitchell family for years (Nina got her start dancing at their club in SF) and it’s like a Greek tragedy that just keeps replaying itself generation after generation.
