A Canadian man is suing a hospital for $142,000 claiming they made his penis smaller during surgery. The Montreal wants compensation from the Le Gardeur hospital for negligence, arguing that the surgery for a fractured penis led to the collapse of his marriage.
The unidentified man, who is also a paraplegic, says the operation led to his penis becoming 1 inch shorter. He originally injured himself while having sex with his wife. He went to the hospital, but claims a nurse did not physically examine him before he was sent home.
The man then claims he was unable to have sex for weeks. In pain, he eventually returned to the hospital when doctors finally discovered the extent of his injury, reports the Toronto Sun.
Subsequent surgery left him with a permanent scar and his penis being reduced in size by about an inch, he claims. This prevented him from being sexually active for another two years, during which time he and his wife separated.
“This has caused a greater impact on my life than when I lost the use of my legs,” the paraplegic man claimed.
The lawsuit was filed last week.
