A model in gay porn and male escort was sentenced Tuesday to nearly six years in federal prison for attempting to blackmail a wealthy telecom executive out of $1.5 million in cash and property so details of the victim’s paid sexual liaisons with the defendant and other X-rated performers wouldn’t be revealed on Twitter.
Teofil Brank, 26, who performed under the name Jarec Wentworth in adult films and on gay porn sites, was also ordered to serve three years of supervised release following his 70-month prison term.
Brank was found guilty by a Los Angeles federal jury in July of six extortion-related counts stemming from the blackmail attempt on Florida tycoon and political donor Donald Burns.
