“Our party is now a shark tank full of schemers and hypocrites,” says one of its leaders

It’s no fun being a neo-Nazi in Germany these days. The country’s far-right National Democratic Party has experienced a series of scandals that make Anthony Weiner crotch shots look tame. Most recently, the party kicked out porn star Ina Groll (aka “Kitty Blair” or “Miss Blair”)—not for general lewdness but for having sex with a black man in Kitty Discovers Sperm.

Then there was the second-in-command of the party, Peter Marx, who stepped down after the “Penis Cake Affair,” as the German press dubbed it. Marx celebrated his birthday with a striptease and a cake shaped like a penis; Kitty helped with the festivities.

While a lawsuit to ban the NPD is moving forward, the crisis within the NPD boils down to a rift about just how far right to go. In Germany, it’s illegal to promote Nazi ideology. So the NPD tries to be just racist, anti-semitic and homophobic enough without openly flying a flag with a swastika.
