The usual suspects showed up with Adam Cohen in attendance.

For the last few months, the housekeepers have been begging the standards board to adopt regulations that help them in lifting mattresses and doing the brutal hotel housekeeping tasks, but the pace has been slow.  After the housekeeping workers spoke, Adam Cohen proposed that the board shouldn’t consider the FSC proposal at all but instead should only consider the AHF proposal.  He did his usual dog and pony show about condoms as the only true protection.  Phyllisha Anne, the founder of the IEAU, was also there.  Another union person also spoke, referring to the IEAU as their “mother union.”  My source from the back of the room tells me that FSC sat on the left and AHF and the union sat on the right.

The FSC contingent repeatedly asked for Cal/OSHA to work with performers and the industry.

Why is Phyllisha Anne sitting with AHF?  hearings, courtrooms, are much like sporting events..A team on each side..I wonder which side the Union is on???
