How great is this? Last year Urban X Award show owner Alexander DeVoe tweeted some rather derogatory things about Greg Lansky’s Blacked.com.
How quickly things change once the money starts getting tossed around….
Urban X, the ‘Urban’ award show that will nominate black performers who don’t fuck other black performers, shit on black performers who don’t agree with them, and take money from people they view as racist.
Sounds legit.
Big surprise, they put the squeeze on Blacked's owner and distributor to get the money needed to run the show. It's a shame that truly talented Black performers and directors will be overlooked in favor of DeVoe's friends and financial backers, making his show no different from any of the others out there while DeVoe plays so many for suckers to get their support.
Your series of articles simply show he is just as bad as the other award shows, maybe worse he he tries to sell that he is something different as he uses race to bully, bash, and make demands to fill his own coffers. I'd call him a sell out but he's always been that way, a mediocre director trying to stay relevant, if he ever achieved relevance to begin with. Many say he only won his AVN awards due to his distributor at the time demanding he win, he said that himself in his twitter feed last year, go look.
