Yes, even Santa Claus can be arrested. A 62-year-old man working as Santa was arrested for indecent assault and battery after he groped his elf. An 18-year-old woman posing as Santa’s helper filed the complaint.
The woman was hired to snap pictures of children and their families sitting on Santa’s lap, a scene which takes place at malls across the country. The company which hired the man says a thorough background check was completed before giving him the job and his record showed no priors. Herbert Jones is now out on $1,000 bail and a judge has instructed he cannot portray Santa while he is out on bail.
