Republican Assemblymember Scott Wilk voted against the bill and Democrat Cheryl Brown abstained.
Committee members’ talk of bill moving to Appropriations Committee is premature. Assemblymembers Jimmy Gomez and Marc Levine were not present, so further action is required.

Apparently, two committee members weren’t present at the hearing, and may be prompted to vote later. Only one more “yes” vote is needed for advancement to the Appropriations Committee.
