DIXON (CBS13) – A former porn star made a stop in Dixon today. She says she’s tired of selling sex and wants to sell hot dogs.
“Ha, ha, ha. We’re serving up some good wieners over here,” said Angie Savage, owner of Angie’s Wieners.
“It’s all good, it’s all good,” said one man.
That’s according to these tough guys lining up. They’re hoping to get a taste of Savage’s new venture. Savage a former, porn star is now selling wieners. She already has a slogan.
“Biggest wieners and the hottest buns,” said Savage.
Along with her Wiener Girls, She’s launching this business at the Renegade Rendezvous, an event held today in Dixon.
“This is where we chose to launch because I’m a Northern California girl,” said Savage.
Appearing in more than 90 adult films, Savage says she looking to be a star not only in erotic films and on the grill, but she has her eye on Hollywood.
“I’ve kind of transitioned out of it. I got a job in a mainstream horror film and got the acting bug and I felt like maybe there was something more for me,” said Savage.
None of her Wiener Girls are from the adult entertainment industry. They have other talents.
“I’m also a fire eater,” said one.
It’s also a family affair.
“Yes I am. Yep,” said Savage’s mom, Mary Berkana.
She’s proud of her daughter.
“Its been a dream for quite a few years so I’m just glad it’s coming together for her,” said Berkana.
There are more than just hot dogs here.
“We’ve got a frozen chocolate cheese cake on a stick,” said Savage.
Many here were hoping Savage was launching a store front hot dog business, but she says first things first.
“We’re a mobile business and we travel to events: biker rallies, sporting events,” she says.
She hopes to eventually open up a storefront. Savage says her next big event is in Texas.
