The AVN Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE) is porn’s largest and glitziest event, but let’s be honest — by the time its final day (Saturday), rolls around, things have started to get a little weird.

The neon nightmare of slot machines, sweaty superfans, spermatobibulous starlets and stretched starfish begins to feel like a little too much of a good thing. Fortunately the show floor closes early on Saturday, to give everyone a chance to get dolled up for porn’s biggest night: the AVN Awards presentation, complete with red carpet.
Some adult business ‘players’ skip all but the final day of AEE, and basically fly in to Vegas for a quick shmooze followed by the awards presentation. One such wise individual is my friend Axel Braun.
Lily Cade and I ran into Axel in the lobby of the Hard Rock and walked him over to the registration area to get his credentials.

I strolled over to Bonnie Rotten’s room to shoot a quick interview as she got ready for the red carpet.
Recently, TRPWL formed a strategic alliance of sorts with Inside Adult / X3Sixty — the new enterprise created by AVN founder Paul Fishbein and AVN veteran Darren Roberts (the folks behind The Sex Awards last year in Hollywood). My task was to shoot offbeat video content with adult stars for use on both Inside Adult and TRPWL.
It should come as little surprise to readers that I ended up shooting a lot of content at various bars around AEE — such as this clip with the amazing Aaliyah Love.
The AVN Awards red carpet, however, was to be a goldmine.
The Inside Adult ‘A Team’ included Ash Hollywood as host,btw and the brilliant Eli Cross as videographer / cynic-in-chief.

Since they had set up at a stationary position, I was set loose upon the room — and mayhem ensued.

Following the red carpet, I entered the awards through the triple-secret back entrance, along with Axel Braun, Riley Steele, Evan Stone and AVN’s Steve Javors.
