A lovelorn New York surgeon is offering cash incentives and Botox to anyone who can help him find his ideal partner.
In an email sent to contacts he made at a business network event, the surgeon promised financial gifts starting at $100 for a first date and increasing with every additional meeting, for contacts willing to set him up with his friends.
As well as incentives for playing Cupid, the doctor had a long list of demands in what he wanted from his ideal woman, which he warned were not flexible.
The surgeon’s email was published on the blog of internet marketer Marc Ensign, who received it, along with about 30 other people who had attended a New Jersey meeting [judging by his blog, Ensign wasn’t amused].
The unnamed man explained that despite being the number one surgeon of his type in the north east, he had not yet met the right woman to ‘fall in love with, marry, and start a family with’.
He added: ‘I’m single, never married, and really want kids before I’m old!’
After failing to find a suitable match through online dating, the surgeon appears to have been inspired by matchmaking fees and decided to use a similar approach to encourage friends and colleagues to set up blind dates.
With degrees from Dartmouth, Columbia and Harvard, the surgeon has impeccable credentials, but also a strict list of demands.
His ideal woman must be a white college graduate, who is aged between 28 and 34, a size 0 to 2 and keen to start a family.
Moving on to his more ‘flexible’ demands, the Catholic stated he was looking for a Christian but warned he ‘would not be compatible with someone who thinks everyone else is damned’.
Travel, a good college education and experience living in a large city were also important, as well as a love of animals, especially dogs which the surgeon said he planned on keeping for his whole life.
The surgeon offered the following rewards, which increase if a match is successful:
First date set up: $100 cash.
Second date: (with either the same person, indicating a better match, or a second person): $200 or free Latisse worth $300.
Third date: $300 or Botox worth $500
Fourth date: $400 or Juvederm injections worth $900
Fifth date: $500 cash or LASEK eye surgery worth $2,000.The offer came with a disclaimer that the cash offer was only valid if all his ‘hard dating objectives’ were met.
The list continued with what he described as ‘soft objectives’, including the desire to meet someone attractive, but not a 10 out of 10 because that ‘comes with a lot of downside’.
An ideal match would be ‘nice, normal, kind, altruistic, selfless and not ‘bitchy, materialistic, selfish.
Keen to become a father, the surgeon also requested matches with women who came from a good stable family, that would act as good role models.
It is not yet known if anyone has taken up his offer to put forward friends as potential partners.
