Hey Willie, even “whores” get to choose whom they do the deed with — it’s not a question of nobility, it’s a question of agency and the right to control one’s own body. And, as with any career, the laws of supply and demand apply — performers in greater demand and with greater market “value” earn more in the way of compensation and control. That’s basic economics.
