Rob Black says he’s been having “top secret” industry meetings for the last two months. It’s pretty comical to say the least, mostly because my list of porn power players and his are quite different: to me a porn power player is a leader in the adult business. Rob’s idea of a porn power player is someone who hates the adult business.
Black recently hit upon the grandiose idea of free adult industry STI testing, and is now using that as his way of trying to sway talent to side with him in his quest to be someone. Kinda like when Pedro said if you vote for him “all your wildest dreams will come true.” Black even uttered something about how anyone can go into a clinic in Compton an get a free STI or HIV test. I’m not sure what kind of tests the free Compton clinic offers but I’m pretty sure Christy Mack and Lisa Ann aren’t in the Rolling 30s.
I’ll be the first to say free testing would be great and if someone could pull that off in a secure, private way I’d get behind it. The new 14-day testing, including Hep-C, will cost performers roughly $360 a month to stay current. Some think the price increase could be a good thing as it will weed out some of the part timers who come and go, and seem to be the ones creating the issues for the most part.
So, now we hear that Rob Black gets a meeting with Porn Enemy Number One, AHF, and like most things that Rob Black does, he goes in half assed and stuttering.
Remember, if AHF were to provide testing, that would mean AHF would have every adult performer’s private information. The entire talent pool would be added to its clinic rolls. So, AHF offers Black free tests then asks him “Now what”? To which the guy who calls himself the President of Porn had NO answer.
AHF was essentially asking him how the information would be stored, who’s gonna control it, and what would the protocols be for its use and dissemination?
We’ve been told that Black had no plan.
Having AHF control the porn testing database is one thing (a nightmarish thing), but Rob Black or anyone associated with him having access to ANY personal information about a performer is probably the worst thing that could happen to porn outside of a permanent shutdown.
This is a guy who attacks just about everyone, snitched out his wife, allegedly owes hundreds of thousands of dollars to industry people, wrote bad checks to performers, covered up injuries to talent on his set, and ruined just about everything adult business-related he’s touched. Rob Black is King Midas in Reverse.
Now, fortunately, no reasonable person would ever be worried about Black getting any real backing. He’s been begging for donations for months and still hasn’t received one — and not only that, he would never get the studios behind him because he’s a fucking idiot.
Most likely any meeting AHF agreed to take with with Rob Black was nothing more than an AHF fact finding mission — and who knows what Black told nor promised them when he thought it could net him a deal. However, over the years, AHF has already heard supposed “insiders” Shelley Lubben,Tim Tritch and Dave Pounder promise the moon in terms of being able to deliver current adult performers and producers to support the AHF party line. Every one of them failed, which begs the question: is Michael Weinstein stupid enough to trust porn wash-out Rob Black?
