Luxury sex-tech manufacturer Lora DiCarlo has received the company’s first-ever pleasure industry award from StorErotica in the ‘Boutique Brand of the Year’ category for 2020.
“Our entire team is ecstatic to be recognized by StorErotica and all our beloved colleagues and friends. We are humbled by the nomination alone, and so proud to be included in such a stellar line-up of pleasure industry pioneers,” said founder and CEO Lora H. DiCarlo.
Lora DiCarlo’s winning brand of high-tech toys was joined by veteran nominees like LELO,
WoW Tech, and NuSensuelle. DiCarlo extends her congratulations to the fellow brands and professionals who helped pave the way for luxury sex-tech products.
“This moment is especially exciting because it’s the first time we’ve been recognized for a pleasure industry award,” said DiCarlo. “We’d like to give our most sincere thanks and appreciation to StorErotica, our retail partners, and the entire industry for supporting us every step of the way as we’ve grown our business.”
Since the release of Lora DiCarlo’s inaugural high-tech pleasure toy, Osé, the Oregon-based manufacturer has made waves across mainstream and industry spaces alike.
The company caused an international stir after winning an award in the Robotics and Drones category at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show. However, before the Lora DiCarlo team could even set up their trade show booth, the award was revoked and the company was banned from exhibiting altogether. Media and industry outcry prevailed, and CES later restored Lora DiCarlo’s award while the company made plans for a 2020 CES comeback.
In January 2020, Team DiCarlo showcased outstandingly at CES, touting the brand-new Baci and Onda pleasure-tech products and a re-launch of the original Osé.
While Osé succeeded conceptually, it required some fine-tuning. After reviewing industry and consumer feedback on the Osé throughout 2019, the design team swiftly pivoted to launch a new and improved version, the Osé 2.
The Lora DiCarlo team is currently preparing their upcoming product launches for the January 2021 ANME/XBIZ trade show, which is set to take place online due to Covid concerns.
The company looks forward to ending 2020 on a high note, thanks to the recognition and generosity of the StoreErotica community.
“It is an honor to be embraced by our industry’s highly-respected retailers, distributors and colleagues that are the voice of our industry,” concluded Michelle Harris, Global Wholesale Director for Lora DiCarlo. “We are dedicated to the success of our partners, and are committed to providing the best experience possible for Lora DiCarlo retailers, as well as the end user.”
