In a blockbuster move that promises to take adult entertainment e-commerce and direct mail to a whole new level, retail giants TLA Entertainment and AdultEmpire have announced a new joint venture.
The partnership represents an opportunity for the two companies to build on their respective strengths, including AdultEmpire’s award-winning internet technology and TLA’s established strength in the direct mail business and powerful reach into the gay market, along with both companies’ reputation for superior customer service.
“We’re thrilled to be joining forces with TLA,” said AdultEmpire’s Director of Business Development Colin Allerton. “Like us, TLA has always had a reputation for creating a superior customer experience, and this partnership seemed like a natural outgrowth of our collective goals. It’s rare to have two such well-established retailers partner on such a large scale, which is one of the most exciting aspects of this new venture.”
“This partnership represents a true consolidation of strengths within the industry. It is a dynamic move that promises to yield great things for the business and consumers alike.” said TLA’s COO, Brian Sokel.
AdultEmpire will immediately assume all warehousing, purchasing and fulfillment responsibilities for the joint venture while TLA Entertainment will manage Adult Empire’s gay business under Managing Director of Content and Marketing Erik Schut.
The family of TLA and Adult Empire websites and catalogs will continue to operate as usual.
Nine-time AVN award-winner Adult Empire is based in Warrendale, Pennsylvania and was founded in 1997; Since 1997, TLA Entertainment has been a premiere destination for home entertainment both online and via direct mail.
