OTTAWA — The thrills quickly vanished at a sex play party in Gloucester Saturday after more than $3,000 in jewelled butt plugs, collars, whips and more were stolen from the back of a truck.
Police haven’t been notified. Why? It’s a bit of secret.

Jay Blackshire is an active member of the BDSM community. While he wasn’t at the party — he was, naturally, volunteering in the dungeon at Sexapalooza — he is friends with the man who lost his goods. The man, who has asked not to be identified because of his public service job, is something of a sex toy master.
“His work is fantastic,” Blackshire said of the leather marvels. Four drool ball gags and two made of rubber, nine collars, three leashes with braided handles, two corset collars, four sets each of wrist and ankle cuffs, a set of leather handcuffs, 15 dog tags, and even a cherry red latex dress were all in a bin inside his truck. The night included a sale portion that soon gave way to the kinkier stuff.
