UkipWeather has already got almost 9,000 followers since it started tweeting ridiculous weather predictions following David Silvester’s rant
More biblical storms could be set to befall the country as consequences of our moral actions, according to a Ukip weather Twitter account.
The UkipWeather service has been making tongue in cheek weather warnings to highlight the absurdity of UKIP councillor David Silvester’s comment that the legislation of gay marriage caused storms and floods.
Created yesterday evening at 9.28pm, it is rapidly gaining followers who have been left amused by the predictions which have derided conservative ideologies and right wing media.
Whilst dark clouds are forming over the Midlands following voluntary sexual intercourse between two unmarried persons, an area of low intelligence centred around the Daily Mail will cause severe outbreaks of capital letters and exclamation marks.
Yesterday Mr Silvester, who is a councillor in Henley-on-Thames, was revealed to have sent a letter to the Henley Standard arguing that recent gay marriage legislation had led to storms and floods.
In it, he said that the scriptures made it clear that a Christian nation that acts ‘contrary to the gospel’ would be ‘beset by natural disasters such as storms, disease, pestilence and war.’
He has since been suspended following the incident, in which he also called homosexuality a ‘spiritual disease.’
