The first person charged under Colorado’s “revenge porn” law is scheduled to face a judge Tuesday.

Michael Clasen, 25, is accused of posting intimate images of his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend online after she broke up with him. The class-1 misdemeanor carries a maximum penalty of 18 months in jail and a $10,000 fine.
Clasen allegedly posted the pictures on the Internet on July 1 – the day the new law took effect.
The Denver man is also accused of stalking the ex-girlfriend and vandalizing her and her mother’s vehicles.
In Tuesday’s preliminary hearing, lawyers will go over the evidence in the case so the judge can decide whether to move forward with a trial.
