Conan O’Brien made telvision history Friday night when he officiated a same sex marriage on his show. The wedding had to be performed while his show was taping in NYC for a week, because same sex marriages are not recognized in California.
Conan married his show’s costume designer, Scott Cronick, and his partner David Gorshein. Bravo’s Andy Cohen walked Scott down the aisle on stage at the New York City’s Beacon Theatre.
After each groom stepped on a glass, O’Brien made the declaration, “By the power vested in me by the state of New York and the Universal Life Church, I now pronounce you husband and husband. You can kiss the groom.”
