Serving in the military might seem like a world apart from the career of an adult performer, but for Agatha Delicious, Army life remarkably set the veteran star up for onscreen success.
“Transitioning from the military to a creative role in the adult industry might seem unorthodox, but many foundational aspects of military service lend themselves well to the demands of content creation and performance,” explains Delicious.
“In the Army we always had to arrive 10 minutes prior to any scheduled time or formation, so being on time is something I am pretty good at. We also had to stay fit and that always stuck with me. We had physical training every morning, and to this day I am addicted to exercise. Naturally, as I started working in the adult industry, I was drawn to the more physical jobs like dancing and wrestling fetish and ‘feats of strength’ amazon kinks.”
Delicious also notes that “when it comes to running my own sites, consistency is key and that is something I learned well in the military. You also learn to work with all sorts of people as a team. So when it comes to drama in the industry I am pretty good at staying out of it. I try to keep a good rapport with all the people I work with. I think being older also helps with everything when it comes to industry relations, experience and discipline.”
Unlike the rigidity of military life, “I like a varied schedule and I enjoy being a fetish producer and adult performer. It does require the same amount of discipline and consistency to do well and have longevity in this industry, and this business can be a lot harder than any 9-to-5 but also offers a lot of variety and freedom.”
