Holly Randall Wins ‘Best Featurette’ XMA Award for Broken Butterfly: The Perfect Shade of Blu

Holly Randall Productions proudly celebrates its latest triumph at the 2025 XMA Awards, earning the ‘Best Featurette’ honor for Broken Butterfly: The Perfect Shade of Blu, an intimate and surreal erotic thriller written and directed by Jeffrey John Hart and produced by Holly Randall in association with XSweet.

Starring Jewelz Blu, Broken Butterfly weaves a psychological thriller around Juliet (Blu), a woman who seems to have it all – a new job, a new boyfriend and a structured life – until strange events and buried memories begin to surface, forcing her to confront a past she thought she left behind. The featurette highlights a powerhouse supporting cast that includes Charlotte Sins, Codey Steele, Casey Calvert, Lumi Ray, Lexi Luna and Seth Gamble.

“Winning this award means so much because it represents the kind of filmmaking we love – creating stories that are as visually compelling as they are deeply human,” said Randall. “I’m incredibly grateful to XBIZ for recognizing Broken Butterfly, and to my amazing cast and crew who brought this vision to life. It’s always an honor to create work that resonates with both the industry and audiences.”

Hart added, “Hearing them announce Broken Butterfly at the XMAs was surreal. This film was by far the most difficult project that I’ve ever taken on. I could not have pulled it off without Holly, Kyle, Brent, Cajo, Robert and the amazing Jewelz Blu. Thank you to my entire cast & crew, and thank you Holly for continuing to support me. To the entire XBIZ family, from the entire cast & crew of Broken Butterfly, thank you for recognizing our hard work and giving us a platform to celebrate within the adult community.”

Broken Butterfly, which was entirely self-funded, follows on the success of last year’s Hopeless, which won XBIZ’s 2024 Featurette of the Year, and offered performers the choice between standard pay or a percentage of profit share, giving them a direct stake in its success and making it a true collaboration.
