“Marriage 2.0,” produced by LionReach Productions and distributed by Adam & Eve, has received 11 nominations for the 2016 AVN Awards. The nominations include Best Polyamory Movie, Best Director – Feature, Best Actor and Best Actress – Feature, and Best Screenplay.

“We are honored and excited to see the depth of recognition given ‘Marriage 2.0’ by AVN this year,” said Magnus Sullivan, who wrote and produced the film and was nominated for Best Screenplay. “One of our goals in creating this movie was to show the dire need to shift the public’s perception of adult cinema from the staid and predictably disappointing use of hardcore sex in film that defines our genre toward a vision of adult as a dynamic, creative, moving, and relevant platform that shows the breadth and power of sex as a narrative tool.”

“It’s nice to see that AVN acknowledges this effort and, in doing so, acknowledges the need to fundamentally rethink the content our industry produces,” he added.

The AVN Awards will take place on January 23, 2016 at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. The event’s hosts include adult superstars Anikka Albrite and Joanna Angel. To view a complete list of the 2016 nominees, visit http://avnawards.avn.com/#nominees.

It also cited veteran performer Ryan Driller with a Best Actor nomination and 2014 AVN MILF Performer of the Year India Summer with a Best Actress nomination – a category in which she won in 2011.

The movie’s total nominations include:

  • Best Boy/Girl Sex Scene; India Summer and Mickey Mod
  • Best Editing; Paul Deeb
  • Best Marketing Campaign
  • Best Non-Sex Performance; Christopher Ryan PhD.
  • Best Polyamory Movie
  • Best Soundtrack
  • Best Supporting Actor; Mickey Mod
  • Best Actor – Feature; Ryan Driller
  • Best Actress – Feature; India Summer
  • Best Director – Feature; Paul Deeb
  • Best Screenplay; Magnus Sullivan

Earlier in the year, “Marriage 2.0” was named Movie of the Year at the 2015 Feminist Porn Awards and Best Narrative at the 2015 CineKink Film Festival. The movie features sexual performances from adult stars intertwined with a compelling story about a restless couple at an emotional crossroads.

“We are very thankful to AVN for the nominations and are extremely proud of the efforts by Magnus Sullivan, Paul Deeb, and the rest of the cast and crew,” said Adam & Eve Director of Business Development Bob Christian. “They were able to bring their creative vision to life, while producing a great film and developing a whole new manner of making adult films at the same time.”
