MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) – A new victim has come forward and accused Eads, Tennessee businessman Mark Giannini of rape.
However, the woman’s career could make the case against him even more controversial. The victim worked in the adult film industry several years ago when she accused Giannini of raping her.
Giannini, looking much thinner wearing glasses, sat and listened as his attorney, Steve Farese said the latest woman who accused the Eads businessman of raping her was an adult film star.
“The court found one of the witnesses to be credible. I found her incredible,” said Farese.
The woman says between Jan. 1, 2002 and Dec. 31, 2002 Giannini, armed with what appeared to be a weapon, raped her. WMC Action News 5 found that the victim did in fact appear in several porn films some during the time she accused Giannini of rape.
The woman’s father told WMC’s Janice Broach the victim now lives in Arizona.

Giannini was in court for the continuation of his bond hearing. He was out on a $150,000 bond until he was re-arrested January 8 at a Florida hotel after being indicted on additional rape charges.
Criminal Court Judge John Campbell set a $3 million bond for Giannini, something his attorney says he cannot make.
Farese added, “We felt we met every factor it was clear what the state had done it was a premeditated strategic act on their part to keep him incarcerated.”
Farese noted that he is looking at the possibility of appealing the bond; Giannini remains behind bars.

Incredible meaning “impossible to believe.” A witness that is perceived to be not credible.
