A man has been jailed after he encouraged a ‘backyard tattooist’ to draw a 40cm penis on another man’s back without the recipient knowing.

Christopher William Lord, 23, from Queensland in Australia, was, on Friday, given 12 months in prison, just over three years after the incident happened.

He had persuaded the victim to get a tattoo – which he agreed to, eventually choosing a yin and yang design with a dragon and a tiger.

The tattooist, Matthew Francis Brady, 24, was jailed in 2011 for the October 2010 assault.

On the morning of the incident, all three men had apparently been drinking rum at Brady’s Ebbw Vale home before the victim, who is on a disability pension, was taken into a bedroom to get his ink work done.

Brady then began drawing a penis, testicles and an obscene phrase on the skin of the unnamed victim.

As reported by the Sunshine Coast Daily, Lord reassured the victim that it looked ‘mad’ while lying that the yin and yang symbol had been finished.

At Ipswich district court Lord pleaded guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm while armed and in company.

Judge Greg Koppenol said: ‘It was a miserable offence. You acted miserably towards a vulnerable young man with a significant disability.’

The tattoo has since been covered over by an unrelated artist who offered to do the inking for free.
